Solar Power
FMP relies on an excellent network for the technical and commercial valuation of projects in the fields of photovoltaic systems and solar heat, as well as the design and establishment of photovoltaic systems. The photovoltaic industry has seen an unprecedented boom in Germany, following substantial incentives provided by Government subsidies. Since then, large parts of the production of photovoltaic modules have been shifted to low-wage countries: this has put European manufacturers under a lot of pressure. German companies are still leading in the development of next-generation modules, and are market leaders in the production of machines manufacturing these modules. The next generation of photovoltaic modules will be considerably cheaper to produce, and at the same time more efficient in terms of energy generation. In spite of gradually decreasing subsidies, photovoltaic systems are still a profitable investment in Germany. Besides, the application of the less spectacular concept of solar heat is becoming increasingly important for covering the energy production baseload, or as a heat production buffer for buildings. |
